葉片邊緣帶齒狀，多為紫色或綠色。花小具梗，花色有白、紫及粉色。棕褐色小堅果為球形

紫蘇喜溫暖，較耐熱，適應性很強，對土壤要求不嚴，有充足光照更佳

Uses 用途

紫蘇葉風味獨特，可用於沖茶及調味，亦可製成紫蘇種子油或紫蘇種子粉調味。

Health Benefits 營養價值

可用於進食魚蟹等寒涼之物引起的吐瀉、腹痛。亦有和胃止嘔的作用，但亦含大量草酸，不宜過量食用。
