Pandan is a tropical plant with long thin leaves which are bright green in colour.

斑蘭葉又叫香蘭，是熱帶植物，葉片呈鮮綠色、柔韌扁長。

Growing Condition 生長條件

In summer, the pandan prefers a part-shade position and in winter, the soil needs to remain well-drained, moist but not wet.

種植班蘭需留意，夏天時需遮蔭、冬天要保持泥土通爽。

Uses 用途

The fragrant pandan leaves are used widely for flavouring in South-East Asian cuisine. It has a milky-sweet flavour which is great for making stews, curries and desserts.

班蘭葉的味道香甜獨特，常用於東南亞料理，例如咖喱或班蘭蛋糕等甜品。

Health Benefits 營養價值

It is said that pandan is used as sedative for calming restlessness, healing certain skin problems and can even be used as insect repellent.

在中醫角度，班蘭能降肝火、清熱解毒。班蘭亦有除臭和驅蟑螂作用。
